The Space Center also hosts one of 48 Challenger Learning Centers on the planet, and the only one in the greater Los Angeles area. When operating, you can journey to the Moon or Mars and even experience the real-life excitement of Mission Control. Our CLC is available for field trips, team-building exercises and parties of 16 or more.
Suited For Space, a exhibit from the SITES program, is open to the general public. This exciting collection scientifically presents the design and evolution of spacesuits starting with the pioneers of high-altitude flying in the 1930′s to the future suits astronauts will use on manned missions to Mars. Featuring historical artifacts, breathtaking photography and never-before seen x-rays of spacesuit interiors, the world of space and how we keep astronauts alive in it is open for you to explore. Suited For Space runs through April 22nd.
