EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

In partnership with Caltech's Children's Center in Pasadena, the Columbia Memorial Space Center has renovated its early childhood development program and indoor space!

A pilot program was launched in February 2019 and and met every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 - 9:30am at the Columbia Memorial Space Center. It was geared towards young children ages 6 months to 4 years old. New STEM curriculum encouraged children to work on fine motor skills, language development, and listening skills, and exposed them to art sensory exploration and pre-writing activities.

The pilot session for this program has ended. New program dates will become available soon. Join our email list to receive up-to-date information about the program!

The goal of the program is to introduce children to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at an early age. Throughout a 4 - 5 week span, children are exposed to various topics including light, motion, air, shadow, water and robotics.

Parent participation is required (1:1 ratio only)
