The Columbia Memorial Space Center’s Outreach Program goes beyond space, we’re on a mission to spark curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in communities everywhere. Through hands-on STEM experiences, interactive learning, and engaging events, we bring the excitement of discovery to you.

Does your organization have a desire to promote critical thinking and problem solving? Are you looking to provide learner driven experiences that encourage creativity? Thanks to the generosity of Edison International, the Columbia Memorial Space Center staff can help! The Space Center is reaching out to its community to help provide professional development to teacher and informal education organizations. If you are interested, please contact us at outreach@downeyspacecenter.org. Please note that our professional development courses are 3-hours in length and the opportunity is on a first come first served basis.

Professional Development Opportunity

To qualify for the Free Professional Development, you must meet the following criteria:

Organization serves youth between Prek-12th grade
Guarantee at least 25 participants
Organization must be within Edison International service areas
Host your Professional Development by July 31st
