Work at the Space Center!

The Columbia Memorial Space Center looks for personable employees with strong communication skills, an enthusiastic drive and a passion for educating the public.

Our staff members are critical to the day-to-day operations at the Space Center and are given the opportunity to aid in the creation of programming, specialized activities and outreach operations in a unique and dynamic environment.

Staff members are employed by the City of Downey and must pass a standard background check and drug test.  Enrollment in an accredited college or university with major coursework in Education, Science, Museum Studies, Engineering or a related field is desirable. Previous work experience in education, science, or parks and recreation is beneficial, but not required.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
