Are CMSC Outreaches Free?

Yes, for CMSC outreaches, we will attend events for free using activities we currently have.

How long does CMSC typically participate in an event?

At the moment, we participate in events that are at least 2 hours long.

How far will the outreach team travel?

We are more likely to attend events within a 20-mile radius from the Columbia Memorial Space Center.

How do I confirm you are attending the event?

Once an outreach submission is submitted via our inquiry form, we will email confirmation of our participation using our email address: outreach@downeyspacecenter.org 

If we are NOT able to participate, we will send an email about not being able to participate.

A response to an inquiry form will be sent within two business days.

When can I send an inquiry form?

Two weeks before any planned event will provide our team the best opportunity to participate.

What can I expect from an outreach at this point in time?

Our team currently offers tables with information about our facility along with STEM related activities. We also have the option of offering workshop type activities being able to accommodate up to 30 learners at a time.

What are some events the CMSC outreach team is able to participate in?

School events such as but not limited to open house, astronomy night, back to school as well as library events.
